Is the Pino Rohloff Shifter Modified? Can I change it to standard setup?

Is the Pino Rohloff Shifter Modified? Can I change it to standard setup?

I have a Rohloff hub gear on a 2009 Pino. I've reversed the position so the shifter is at the outer end of the bars. Now I want to replace the hand grip with a more comfortable one but the present grip rotates with the shifter. This is not like the standard Rohloff shifter so has it been modified by Hase and can I change it back without buying a new shifter?

Yes, this is a Hase modification and no, you can not change it back without buying a new shifter. The only thing you can of course do is changing the grip to an other grip (that will also rotate). But that grip has to be very elastic to get it over the rohloff-grip.
